PV Selvaraj Girl Higher Secondary School, Thanjavur

PVSHS was established in 1963 in Ganapathy Nagar, Tanjore. The school sits on a 5 acre land. The infrastructure of the school has been slowly built over the years with funds from the management and donations from NGO’s. The school presently has about 600+students and has 29 class rooms to accommodate them. The school is currently being managed by the husband-wife of Mr. A.Mahendran who is the Principal and Mrs. Kanmani who is the Headmistress. They are a very dedicated and motivated couple and a short interaction with them will reveal how committed they are to the school and these kids.

Dishaa has provided funds for completion of four class rooms and electrical work in the second floor at PVSGHS. We are greatful to a Chennai based Company for sponsoring the construction work. Click on the following link for before and after pictures. A sum of Rs.3,50,000 (Three Lakhs & Fifty thousand only) was donated for construction completion.
